HAPPY 69TH BIRTHDAY TO THE NATION OF ISRAEL

And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:  Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned. We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses. Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations: But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

Nehemiah 1:5-9

When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;  Then shall they know that I am the Lord their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

Ezekiel 39:27-29

This month the nation of Israel is celebrating its 69th year of nationalism or should I say re-nationalism if there is such a term. After over 2,000 years in exile the Jews in May of 1948 became a nation again as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob promised He would do. Jews from the entire world are finally going back to the land they said their God gave them by helping them defeat the former inhabitants or the Canaanite or Amorite tribes who are descendants of Noah’s son Ham.

While they were seeking nationalism they had the backing of the United States. They have continually relied on this country for support in various areas in their attempt to remain a nation. America has been there for Israel. President Truman openly congratulated the nation on the day of its rebirth; thus causing other nations to respond positively to them.

The other countries surrounding the new nation vehemently opposed them and have been at war with them since its inception. In spite of all of this, the Nation of Israel has been helped by this country from its rebirth to the present.

Recently, former President Obama had been a great help to Israel by helping to build the IRON DOME SYSTEM giving the Jews greater protection against missile attacks from surrounding nations and terrorist groups who are opposed to them.

As I have stated before, this country could not have helped the Jews if it were not for the African Americans who built this country’s foundations via enslavement. We made freedoms available to them; freedoms that are still not available to us because of racial hatred. God has promised to bless all who are a blessing to Abraham and his posterity. No one, in my opinion, can measure up to the sacrifice made by the African American community who has blessed Israel and also the world.

AS STATED BEFORE HAPPY 69TH BIRTHDAY ISRAEL.

THE OBAMA LEGACY!

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.  – II Samuel 23:3

Since I retired, I try not to listen to the news or focus on the many issues facing our world. My favorite programs are the classic westerns, GUNSMOKE, CHEYENNE, and THE LONE RANGER.  I do listen to a lot of the religious programs and that about sums it up. I call myself living stress free.  However, after retiring from State of Michigan in 2002 I landed a position as a Housing Addiction Counselor for the DETROIT RESCUE MISSION in 2005. It is strange how God moves. For 37 years I worked with women and children in poverty.  Afterwards I started working with men in poverty and degradation.

It was during this time that I got my first glimpse of Senator Barack Obama. I believe I was at the doctor’s office and the news on the television showed the Senator making a speech in Germany. Tens of thousands of people all over Germany and Europe came to see him and welcomed him as though he had already won the American election. They seemed to already embrace him as the leader of the free world and its allies.  I was truly amazed.  While at the Ministry we had numerous discussions about him during his campaign. During our motivational sessions I noticed that even then Senator Obama became an overwhelming inspiration to the residents especially the African American male; as he encouraged them to work harder on their own personal lives for the betterment.  Most of the residents came to us for a letter showing they lived in the neighborhood so that they could vote and be a part of the making of history i.e. the election of a black man to the highest position in the world. Before his inauguration it seemed like the whole world was holding its breath looking to him as the savior of the world coming to set up his earthly kingdom as prophesied in the Holy Scriptures.

During the Hilary campaign President Obama encouraged all voters, mainly African Americans to cast their vote for Hilary Rodman Clinton.  He implied that she was the best candidate and that she would continue what he had accomplished during his eight-year tenure. His passage of the Affordable Care Act making medical available to all, and his continuation of women’s rights over their own bodies, also what he termed marriage equality, then his tolerant policy, and immigration, etc. was what he emphasized as his legacy to be continued for the betterment of America.

In my opinion, President Obama was treated in a most disrespectful manner throughout his eight-year tenure. During many of his speeches he was called a liar, etc. He was disrespected by the evangelicals who blamed the abortion issue on him. He was referred to as the most immoral President.  Many church leaders refused to even pray for him in their service because they did not like him from his inception as president. Many people in other countries could not believe the way he was treated. They said their rulers would have the guilty parties killed, no questions asked. Many top military people refused to serve under him and he had to dismiss them.  Some just retired from active duty rather than have a black man as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. This is also true of people he put in special cabinet positions— they too would find some way to turn on him. It has been said that his life has been threatened more than any other presidents. His family has been ridiculed and insulted. It is my understanding that his wife as first lady had to handle problems with staff in the White House so as to maintain the highest standards in concert with the highest political office in the world.

During his first years in office he had more of a democratic congress making it possible for him to get the affordable medical program started.  He was also instrumental in continuing the abortion issue for women and the marriage equality and the tolerant issues. The mid-elections proved disastrous for the democratic congress. Many lost their jobs because they supported the President.  He was now faced with a republican congress. But, this did not deter him from doing his job.  He continued to make decisions and do his job as he saw it. President Obama received continued criticism to the point that it became apparent to all other countries that the citizens of the United States racial status were off the chain although he was highly respected in many other countries. During all of this, President Obama never used or complained about racial discrimination.  He continuously made it his business to do his job no matter what. He used his position’s authority wisely. In an effort to stop him from doing his job other branches of government refused to do what they were supposed to do under the Constitution. They began to break the law in order to stop him from operating within the framework of the law. His racist haters under the slogan of making America great again in the eyes of other nations around the world sullied our country’s image. However, they have almost immortalized him as the one and only President of the United States of America.

In my opinion the Obama Legacy centers on the way he handled himself during his two terms in office. He kept his family intact. There were no scandals. Coming into the presidency his slate was clean and wholesome.  He did his homework by properly educating himself.  He was strictly a married family man. His wife was equally educated and exemplified virtue. President Obama did not saddle himself with a lot of youthful cumbersome baggage while preparing for success. He had a goal.

To me he was and will always be an example to our African American young generation.

Presidents have come and presidents will go but there will be only one President of the United States— Barack H. Obama.

It should be noted that our African American enslavement made a President Barack Obama possible. Although he is not a descendant of our enslavement, like so many he is a product.
