And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:9

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Psalms 122:6

Not only are the Israeli people celebrating 69 years of the rebirth of their nation, but this month they are commemorating 50 years of reunification of the city of Jerusalem.  The original event happened during the six-day war in June, 1967. The Jews were fighting Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Iran. The result was a complete victory for the Jewish people.

They took great care while fighting in Jerusalem because they did not want to destroy any parts of the Holy City. They wanted to regain all of Jerusalem because in prior times it was their capital.  King David conquered the city from the Jebusites and made it the capital of Israel during his 40-year reign. The city was destroyed in A.D.70 by the Romans and the inhabitants were scattered.

Interestingly, Jerusalem is the Holy City for the three dominant beliefs: Christianity, Judaism, and Muslim.

The United States have been the main ally of Israel even before this country’s inception continually. Through our enslavement the African American community made all of this possible.

The Jews have maintained that if they had had their own land, there would not have been concentration camps. They would have had some place to go. They mean to hold on to this land by any means necessary.

CONGRATULATIONS ISRAEL

HAPPY 69TH BIRTHDAY TO THE NATION OF ISRAEL

And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:  Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned. We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses. Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations: But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

Nehemiah 1:5-9

When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;  Then shall they know that I am the Lord their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

Ezekiel 39:27-29

This month the nation of Israel is celebrating its 69th year of nationalism or should I say re-nationalism if there is such a term. After over 2,000 years in exile the Jews in May of 1948 became a nation again as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob promised He would do. Jews from the entire world are finally going back to the land they said their God gave them by helping them defeat the former inhabitants or the Canaanite or Amorite tribes who are descendants of Noah’s son Ham.

While they were seeking nationalism they had the backing of the United States. They have continually relied on this country for support in various areas in their attempt to remain a nation. America has been there for Israel. President Truman openly congratulated the nation on the day of its rebirth; thus causing other nations to respond positively to them.

The other countries surrounding the new nation vehemently opposed them and have been at war with them since its inception. In spite of all of this, the Nation of Israel has been helped by this country from its rebirth to the present.

Recently, former President Obama had been a great help to Israel by helping to build the IRON DOME SYSTEM giving the Jews greater protection against missile attacks from surrounding nations and terrorist groups who are opposed to them.

As I have stated before, this country could not have helped the Jews if it were not for the African Americans who built this country’s foundations via enslavement. We made freedoms available to them; freedoms that are still not available to us because of racial hatred. God has promised to bless all who are a blessing to Abraham and his posterity. No one, in my opinion, can measure up to the sacrifice made by the African American community who has blessed Israel and also the world.

AS STATED BEFORE HAPPY 69TH BIRTHDAY ISRAEL.

BLACK HISTORY REVISITED

Deuteronomy Chapter 11 verses 18 and 19

Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

I love it when it is Black History time.  To me it is a time for us to celebrate our many accomplishments as African Americans—the good and the not so good.  We need this time to evaluate our goals and directions.  We need to evaluate and determine what our strategies should be for future accomplishments.

More than anything we need to take the time to make sure our children know their history.  We need to make it a topic of continual discussion.  If we neglect to teach our children their history someone else will use their ignorance to their own advantage and our children’s disadvantage.  This is what the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob meant when He instructed the nation of Israel to be diligent in making their history, laws, beliefs, etc. known not only to themselves but to their children on a daily basis.

Please note Genesis chapter 18 verses 18 and 19 which states:

“Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”

______________________________

My main focus is on our American enslavement.  I know this is a hard and bitter subject; but I believe that embodied in this cruel and unjust experience is a wealth of blessings that may revolutionize our lives today. We as African American slaves by building this country built a foundation for the nation of Israel and also the world.  These are the true so called (founding fathers) of America. As stated before we, as well as they, have never had the privilege of enjoying the fruit of our labor and ultimate sacrifice.

The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob made a covenant promise of special blessings that we seek to experience and enjoy, all because  our enslavement have been a blessing to the Jewish people more than to any other people.

PROPHESY/PROPHECY

Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11 – For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

I remember asking my Sunday school teacher how I could find out what the will of God was for my life. I had a certain love for the Lord Jesus and I was more than grateful for my salvation. I wanted to know more about how one could find out God’s perfect will for his or her life. My Sunday school teacher told me to read my Bible more and trust the Holy Spirit to lead and guide me by opening and closing areas in my life. My teacher emphasized the importance of having an attitude and a committed heart and a willingness to obey the Lord by allowing Him to direct you in every area of your life. You must surrender your life to Him completely.

Later in my life a minister pointed out about prophesy. Have you received a word of prophesy over your life. This minister stated he was having a particular serious problem that generated deep concern and doubt. To help him during this time the Lord reminded him of prophesy that was spoken over his life. This gave him the direction that he needed to pursue in answer to his dilemma. This proved to be the right steps to take.

As I thought about this I remember prophesy that was spoken to me years ago in my early twenties. I was taking a seminar. When I got the chance to speak to the seminar leader, I focused on the problems of the black community because of slavery. His response was, “Well slavery was just the white man’s sin.” Then he asked me my name. I told him, “Lucy.”  He said your name means light or bright. Maybe God wants you to be a light to your people as to the truth of His word. At first I felt he was just pushing me off; but my passion has grown even more over the years.  I want Godly answers to what we have had to face past, present, and future.

It is truly my burning desire to bring help, hope, and physical changes to our community for the better. I desire changes that cannot be taken away.

When the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob delivered the Jews from their Egyptian enslavement it was complete. As long as they were obedient to God they were protected and prospered.

This same God that promised to bless Abraham promised to bless all who are a blessing to Abraham and his descendants. I say this emphatically— no one in all the earth has blessed his descendants more than the African American community through our ancestral enslavement. They were never compensated for this. We who are their descendants have a claim before the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who made the promise. It is my firm belief that He, above all, wants to make this promise a physical reality.
