BLACK HISTORY MONTH 2016

Black History Month 2016

As I have stated before besides Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter; Black History is my favorite time of year. I love to reflect on our many accomplishments not only here in the United States, but also the impact the African American community has made on this entire world.  Because of their labor in building up this country spiritually, politically, and economically, every country on the planet have received some form of progress.

Initially my plan was to write something daily about our many successes as a people.  But then I decided to just sit and listen to our daily major concerns as a community.

Throughout my blog I have been saying our only hope is in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who made the ancient promise to Abraham that He would bless those who blessed him and his descendants and curse all who in turn would curse all who cursed Abraham and his descendants. No one has been a blessing to Abraham and his descendants more than the African American slaves; however, they were never compensated or blessed and recognized in this accomplishment.  Their lack is still our lack as their posterity. To me this one promise is an area of great possibility for us today.

The questions now are: What are the areas of need?  Is there proof that we can rely on the fulfillment of this promise in our day when the actual people who did the work did not receive fulfillment? (Referring to the slaves themselves).

Your comments are welcome.
